02SEP08 - Centralia, WA -
To our freinds and family, thank you for taking time to come visit with us. We wish we had more time in the evening to spend it individually with you all. Today we are starting our journey south. It is Tuesday morning and we are waking up at Heather's Parent's house in Centralia, WA. It's getting late in the morning and we're on our way out the door; or at least trying to. It was a great weekend and we're finally coming down from the hysteria of it all. Everything was about it was bitter sweet. I really enjoyed being with everybody at the beach and seeing family members at the reception that I haven't seen for a long while, but 'being in the moment' proved to be more difficult than I thought it was going to. That's one of the many things people told me to do; to be in the moment and really sieze a second of time to see everybody. And even though I definitely appreciated seeing people, I would have to say that it's the one thing I wish I could have had even more time to do. The night was going by so fast, we were getting rushed around from one photo-moment-for-the-scrap-book moment to another and all we really wanted to do was visit with people.
Please keep up with us on our travels. If nothing else, you will be able to help the authorities locate us by being able to identify our last known where-abouts!

Just read your blog. Mike you have to be the most interesting writer I have ever had the experience to read your work. I so enjoy how you flow with your thoughts and words the same way you flow room to room here at our home. You are an inspiration and also very entertaining at the same time. Talk about entertaining, the two of you (Heather and yourself) really should create your own real life show. It would be an oscar winner for sure. That could possibly be something for your future upon your return home...The life and times of Heather and Mike. Zach could be your director and producer. Honestly, I'm so happy for you two as you leave for Thailand tomorrow. I love you both and will miss you dearly. Please keep in touch as much as possible. This will be even harder for me than it was when Heather went to Sweden to live for her senior year of high school. I wish you much fun, happiness and great memories from you experience. Heather you are a wonderful nurse and beautiful, smart and insanely funny woman and the people who have the opportunity to experience your care while you work your year in New Zeland will be fortunate. My blessings to you both and I will pray for you daily for your safety and health. I love you and miss you already. PS please let me know when you arrive in Thailand. Love Hugs and Kisses...MOM
